Despite the doom and gloom in the UK economy, we are predicting exciting time ahead at Veber. In these cash-strapped times, cost-effective ways to upscale business critical IT infrastructure are essential and cloud based services are seen as a real choice for businesses that rely on their IT services, but don’t necessarily have the staffing or capital for an in house IT department.

We’ve read the reports, seen the predictions and attended the conferences, but the question we’ve been grappling with is how to grow our Veber product offering to meet this opportunity.

Last year, we decided to get in some support to help us with this task. John Klinker joined us as a management consultant working closely with Tim our CEO to define our strategic focus. With his long career in the business development of high tech companies, John is the perfect person to help us with managing change and expanding the business. Tim commented “The UK hosting market is a competitive but promising one. The momentum of 2012 alongside our competent and innovative technical foundation has led naturally to a time of consolidation where we want to evaluate and analyse the best direction for the company. John’s proven expertise in company growth and change management will provide a significant outlook for us.”

And the upshot of this renewed strategic focus? Over the coming months we are going to be highlighting a number of targeted vertical markets, producing resources and content to address their very specific IT concerns. We can’t be all things to all companies, but the Veber Promise of powerful infrastructure, best of breed technology, insurance backed SLA and an experienced approach, is a particularly good fit for certain sectors. To complement our web based resources we are also planning training seminars later in 2013, again sector specific, which will go into more detail and will allow for active discussion of hosting related issues.

All our research suggests that one of our greatest selling points is the personal service we provide. We don’t assume our clients are technical specialists or uber-geeks and our 24/7/365 telephone support is accessible and human.

However, we know that it’s the technical focus that is critical to our future success. We provide unique servers for unique businesses and cloud backup that guarantees offsite, secure and resilient storage systems. Over the next few weeks we will be upgrading our website to reflect this renewed focus, with changes to the order system that will enable easier online specification and ordering and provide more resources for our customers.
