Public Cloud is a term used to describe a common cloud computing model where a service provider makes resources such as software or data storage available over the internet. Access to a public cloud is often inexpensive and free to set up.
The public cloud is regarded as less secure than private clouds but the shared approach can lead to substantial cost savings but costs can be unpredictable and, in reality, it’s not always easier, cheaper or more efficient to run applications in the public cloud.
Hybrid Cloud computing is when a combination of public cloud and private cloud computing resources are used.
This will commonly involve data either being stored locally on-premise or in a secure hosted environment in a private cloud but also backed-up, or replicated, in an offsite public cloud.

Private Clouds are a single tenancy infrastructure, owned, managed and used only by the organisation for which it was created.
Although the economies of scale seen by public cloud users will not necessarily be gained, once established, the end-user will benefit from a secure, firewall protected private cloud dedicated solely to them.
