Colocation is where a hosting company (eg, Veber) house privately-owned servers and networking equipment in our own datacentre.
Instead of keeping your servers in-house, in offices or at a private datacentre, you can choose to ‘co-locate’ your equipment by renting space in our datacentre. Therefore, unlike other kinds of hosting, where you rent space on a server owned by us, with colocation you already own the server and we rent to you the required physical space to house it within our data centre.
Our space is rented out in terms of ‘racks’ and ‘cabinets’, and not only do you get a space where you can install your equipment, but we will also provide the power, bandwidth, IP address and cooling systems that you will require in order to successfully deploy and run your server.
